Donald C. Patton, age 56, died Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:35 a.m.. Donald was born February 13, 1962 in Ironton, Ohio and grew up in Jackson, Ohio. He proudly served six years in the 101st Airborn Assault Division. Donald worked 30 years in the newspaper industry and called Westerville his home. He is survived by his wife, Maralina; mother and step-father, Joann and Duane Barr; brothers, Ron (Liz) Patton and Harvey (Teresa) Patton; sister, Anna Patton; step-brother, Shawn Barr; nieces, Cassandra, Haley, Lyndsey and Aleesha Patton, Josie Clemmons; nephew, Jeremy (Amanda) Kisor; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his fathers, Donald Aldridge and Harvey H. Patton; grandparents, Edgel and Ella Bowling, Calvin Aldridge, Gladys Aldridge Stewart, Harvey J. and Louise Patton. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 5-8 p.m. where service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m., Pastors Doug Taylor and Jerry Bowling, officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.
