Salome Wolff Haney, age 71, peacefully passed on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her home in Columbus, Oh. After her valiant fight with breast cancer in 2006, Sally’s battle resumed in May 2009 with the cancer spreading to her bones. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in god, and the love from friends and family carried her through nine more years of Chemotherapy. Yet even throughout her difficult struggles, she continued to laugh, love, and enjoy life with family and friends. Sally was born February 12, 1946 in Oak Ridge, Illinois, the daughter of Mildred and Willard Gross. She lived in Skokie, IL. for 28 years before moving to Westerville, OH to start a family. She always had a deep relationship with god and was a member of Maize Road Baptist Church. Sally’s real passions were her family and friends. She had a power to make people smile and laugh which will forever be missed. Sally is survived by her husband of nine years, Arlie Haney of Columbus, OH ; her son Ryan of Miami, FL, her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Heather of Charlotte, NC; and her grandchildren, Tyler and Addison. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a service at 3 p.m., Pastor Brent Castle, officiating.
