SPITLER
David L. Spitler, age 72, of Westerville, passed away July 24, 2017 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Retired from Walnut Ridge High School as Social Studies teacher and softball coach. Graduate of Eastmoor High School, Capital University and The Ohio State University. Member of Ascension Lutheran Church and ACBL. David was an avid bridge player and loved watching his grandchildren participtate in sporting events. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; daughters, Danielle Kiner and Colleen (Marc) Shields; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Chase, Zachary, Tyler, Cohen and Coy; sister-in-law, Barbara (Lloyd) Johnston; nieces, Julie (Jeff) Baron and April Johnston; nephew, Ryan (Alyssa) Johnston. Family and friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday, July 27th from 6-8 p.m.. Private family interment.
