Carl Albert Jackson, age 71, of Westerville, passed away June 22, 2017 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Retired from Directions for Youth and Family Services and also the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Formerly employed by Jeffrey Dresser Mining and Manfacturing Co. and North American Coal Co.. Member of ASFME Union local #8, Teamsters Union, United Mine Workers of America and Jim Beam Decanter Club. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon; daughter, April (Eric) Henricks; grandchildren, Bjorn, Phoebe, Norman and Chloe; sister, Lillian Jackson; brother, Franklin (Delma) Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Franklin and Mary Jackson; sister, Mary Putsock Donavan; brothers, John and Robert Putsock. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, OH Wednesday 5-8 p.m.. Service will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 307 Huber Village Blvd., Westerville, Thursday at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour before the service, Bishop Ryan Whitehead, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
