June Marie Peffers, age 92, of Columbus, died March 12, 2017 at Brookdale Cooper Road Senior Living facility. Born June 3, 1924 in Detroit, MI, the youngest of three children of Roy J. and Bessie E. (Everts) Peffers. In the early 30″s June returned to Columbus with her family. After High School, June furthered her education at a local business college and began working for the State of Ohio Industrial Commision where she worked until she retired at the age of 81. June served Ohio and it’s citizens for 58 years! An avid walker, June also enjoyed playing the piano, listening to jazz and big band music, gardening, movies and reading. A private and solitary soul in life, the Lord called June home to be with her parents, her sister Molly White, her brother Robert Peffers and nieces Patricia Small and Carol Snyder-Brown. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. A private viewing will be held on March 25, 2017 prior to a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Rev David Hogg, officiating. Condolences at morelandfuneralhome.com.
