Richard L. “Dick” Underwood, age 82, of Westerville, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016. Attended Church of the Master United Methodist. Dick loved golf, his ’83 Mustang and was an AVID Buckeye fan. Survived by beloved wife Anna; children, Michael (Shelby) Underwood, John (Joyce) Miller and Judy (Jim) Spanel; grandchildren, Casey (Shaun) Steele, Lindsey (Chris) Miller, Vanessa (Lew) Dickey, Richard Hoelsher, Melissa (Joe) Hristovski, Adam (Courtney) Saddler and Jay Saddler; great-grandchildren, Michael, Max, Kendall, Kennedy, Vale, Taylor, Ben, Nick, Elizabeth and Abbigail; fur baby, Sophie; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis; daughter, Vicky Hoelscher, sister, Gerri and brother, Terry. Friends may call at The Church of the Master, 24 N. Grove Street, Westerville, Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Anna Guillozet, officiating. Entombment Blendon Central Mausoleum. To the Underwood Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. May Jesus’ words regarding the resurrection bring comfort to you. John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29. Soon you can welcome him back to a paradise earth. Psalm 37 verse 29. It was never God’s intent for us to die and God plans on eliminating death soon. Revelations chapter 21 verses 3 and 4. God plans to do this using his Kingdom that we pray for to accomplish this. Daniel chapter 2 verse 44. May these scriptures bring comfort to you.
