Nina Wertz, age 89, of Minerva Park, passed away June 28, 2016 as a result of endometrial cancer. Nina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Survived by her children, Diana (Bob) Needham of Portland, OR, Edsel Keener of Columbus and Karen (Matt) Markley of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Krista (Jack) Knuttila, Jennifer Pranger, Christopher Needham, John Wertz, Laura (Andy) Buck, Dillon and Grant Markley; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Nina Knuttila, Nate and Nick Buck; sister, Jeanette (Ray) Jones; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Herb, daughter, Linda McCloskey, son, Jack Wertz and grandson, Scott Reeves. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday, July 5th from 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Wednesday July 6th at 1:30 p.m.. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Drive, Hilliard, OH 43026.
