Dear Darcey and Hayley – you are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Dan was such a great guy. I remember when I first met him at moms. He showed us how to eat lobster and entertained us with his hunting stories. I am sure you have many fond memories to treasure. My love to both of you

Aunt Darcy and cousin Haley,
My heart and prayers are with you both. Uncle Dan was a special man. Memories as a young boy with pictures of uncle Dan and a giant Yukon moose, or a Doll sheep hung on my wall. He was this mountain of a man that have me huge inspiration as a hunter and as person. Always reaching out for that next challenge. Even though we spent only a week or two a year together it was as if we could pick up right where we left off. And the day you would head back home was always a sad one. Well now you’ve headed home to the richest hunting grounds a man could wish for. You will be missed, and I have been blessed to have had such an uncle.
Your nephew,
Carl

Darcy,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dan’s passing. He was a great doctor, but also a genuinely nice guy. That always sounds like small praise, but it makes such a difference in the world. Jay and I send our love to you.

Darcy, so sorry. I remember Dan as a mentor at OSU, and a wonderful asset to our practice when needed. When he filled in at CVES he was so thorough and still so good with the staff. I will miss a gentle giant with that big voice, nearly always smiling. Rest in peace.

Alice Lau - Jun 21, 2016

So sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. He was one of the reasons I love my job! I still use a silly joke he told one of the many times we were in the operating room together. Thinking of you Darcey and Hayley. He always talked so highly of you both. May you have some peace and comfort during this most difficult time.

Angela Kinney - Jun 20, 2016

I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss him calling me Queen B. I will miss him ribbing me every chance he had. If you need anything Darcy just let me know. I am so sorry for your loss.
