EIERMAN
Carl Richard “Dick” Eierman, age 86, of Westerville, passed away April 1, 2016. A brilliant mind has been stilled. Born July 4, 1929 to Carl Jacob and Jessie Rena Herman Eierman. He always said everyone celebrated his birthday. He was the owner/operator of Pressure Services. He could make water taps, chemical taps and taps on steam lines. An excellent machinist who could diagnose problems and fix anything. He fabricated a lot of his tapping equipment just like it came off the show room floor. Dick loved slogging through the canal system here in Ohio. His dream was to build a river boat and he had collected many of the things he needed for the project. He built some equipment for his son’s audio business. He loved country gospel music and one friend came to our home to play, sing and pray with us. Member of Center Village Church of Christ and the Westerville Volunteer Fire Deparment for twenty nine years holding the rank of Lieutenant and was the training officer. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Pearl Mae Kiner Eierman; son, Richard Allen “Rick” (Vicki Chess); nieces, nephews, a host of good friends and his special cat Sam. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Herman Eierman, sisters, Roseann McKenzie and Marilyn “Toni” Kuhn, his loving in-laws, Rodney and Alice Kiner. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., Pastor John Wallace, officiating. Interment Pioneer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to Church of the Saviour United Methodist, 11239 Fancher Rosd, Westerville, OH 43082.
