William M. Finn, Jr., age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 28, 2015. Bill was born on February 22, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to Betty (Harrison) Finn and the late William M. Finn. A graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School, class of 1964. He retired from Consolidated Freightways after 31 years of service and was currently employed with Toyota West. Bill enjoyed nearly 50 years of wonderful marriage to his highschool sweetheart and love of his life, Rosemary. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish, and was a passionate sports fan of college football and horse-racing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his treasured family. He lived life to the fullest, touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rosemary (Casto) Finn; children, Kelly Finn, Amy (Phil) DeVoe, Heidi (Rhyan) Caruso, Billy (Amy) Finn; his beloved grandchildren, Phillip, Amanda and Caitlin DeVoe; Izabella, Rhyan and Evelyn Caruso; Liam, Lily and Ivy Finn; 7 great-grandchilden; mother, Betty Jane Finn; sister Jean (Ron) White; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ann Casto, Kathy (Tom) Farr, Joan (Tom) Martin, Tom (Mary June) Casto, Tim Casto, Sue (Steve) Richards and Laurie (Tom) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Shadow. A Celebration of Life Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E. State Route 37, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. Arrangements being handled by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s Multiple Myeloma Research Fund – 306144. A check may be mailed to PO Box 183112, Columbus, Ohio 43218-3112. Please include William Finn’s name with your contribution.

Bill & I lived about 1 block apart. We were classmates in grade school at St.M’s. Bill was a great guy. He was a real competitor. At the football team reunion I stood with Bill on the field. While St.V’s was practicing Bill was real edgy. I asked him if he’d like to get into the game and he ” you bet!!!”. He was the fastest man on the team. I’m so sorry for your loss!!!!………..Steve

So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I remember working with him at CF back in the 60’s. I used to run into him out on the highway occasionally. It was always nice to talk to him and joke about things from the past. I will remember him and his family in my prayers. God Bless You.
