Robert Lamar Hilburn, of New Albany and Columbus, died January 11th at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital from complications of cardiac arrest. An accomplished metal fabricator as well as a 4-H leader and long-time Scouting volunteer, he is survived by children Regina Lynn (Michael D. Minch) and Robert Lance (Kimberly A.); grandson Lance Kirk Hilburn; partner Sonia L. Munker; sister Norma A. Caudill of St. Augustine, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Jean E. Hilburn, brothers Steven and Jerald Hilburn, and parents George and Ruth Hilburn. Visiting hours are at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, at 1-3 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 16th. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. immediately afterwards, with cremation following. I will miss Bob. He was a good-caring-kind-hearted man. I will miss the talks, the laughs, and the stories that Bob and me has had together. Wish we could have spent more time together. I pray for the family and friends of Bob during this hard time.
