BROWN
Mark A. Brown, age 45, of Gahanna, OH., passed away unexpectedly December 20, 2013. Mark was the owner of B & B Carpet Consultants for over 20 years. Graduate of Westerville South High School in 1986. Mark was a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed golf, skiing, his cats and most of all, hunting with his Dad. Survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Faith; daughter, Christina (Brian) Busker of Vail, CO; parents, Jack and Janet Brown of Westerville; grandmother, Ruby Moats of W. Va.; sister, Karen (Tye) Downard of Westerville; nephews, Tanner and Taylor Downard; niece, Paige Waugh; aunts and uncles, Carolyn (Chris) Lowe, Joy (Charlie) Viars, Jane (Greg) Price, Roger (Elaine) Leclercq and Bonnie (Jim) Carter; in-laws, Gladys and Dick Lewis, Leonard Buske, Debby (Lannie) Martin, Gale (Bobby) Goodwin, Jason (Lauren) Buske,; nieces and nephews, Deana (Zeke) Youngblood, Stacey Goodwin, Jacob and Kaitlyn Buske; brother-in-law, Jeff Waugh; several cousins and many close friends. Preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Waugh. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Friday at 11 a.m., Dr. Richard Ellsworth, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.

Jack and Janet, I can only imagine the loss your family is feeling for Mark. Mark and I stayed in contact over the years due to the fact we both work in flooring. He worked hard and was always fair. He was a good person and a good man and I’m glad I knew him. He is with the father now and will always remain in you hearts

Dear Faith and Christina,
Dee Dee, Zeke, Debbie, and Lannie has accepted my family as part of their own. Through them I have experienced such a mighty spirit that blankets this family. We have watched and enjoyed priceless moments with many of you. We thank you all for your love and goodness. Just like family shares in good times, we also grieve with you through the hard times. There is no doubt that many share in this loss. Each member of your family we have had the pleasure to meet has made an impression on us, as did Mark. I am here to tell you he took a piece of each of you with him, just as he leaves a piece of him with each on of you. I pray God blankets both your family and the Brown family with the endurance needed to await the joy unspeakable when each of us are called home and all the pieces are one. My sweet Brown family. I heart is broken as is yours over Mark’s life being taken from us all so suddenly. The first time I met Mark at one of Grandma Moat’s birthday parties I knew I was a lucky person to be part of Brian’s family. Brian and I had so much fun with Mark and Faith when we made our visit for Uncle Jack’s 70th b-day party. I loved Mark’s smile and laugh and he will be madly missed by all those people that were fortunate enough to have Mark touch their lives in someway.

There are no words to express the sadness we feel and the shock of such an unfair sudden departure. Mark was my buddy (favorite nephew), a great son, a good husband and brother and an all around keeper/protector. None of us can understand why he left so suddenly except to say that he went home to be with his beloved big sister! He leaves a huge whole in the hearts of all and we will surely miss him! I love you!

Dear Janet, Jack, Karen, Paige, Faith and all of the family….words cannot express our sorrow at the loss of Mark ! I don’t have to even say what a great guy he always has been and what a solid rock he was in the Brown family; always there for everyone…a pillar of strength. We are all questioning why at so young of an age that he had to be taken from us. To know that he is in Heaven and we will see him again is of some comfort, but to have him gone from our midst now brings unbearable sorrow. I don’t have to tell you how much he was loved and respected by all… our deepest sympathies. We will honor his life with our wonderful memories of him.

Jack and Janet,,,, my heart goes out to you and the rest of the family. This came as quite a shock to me and my heart sinks every time I think about how this must be effecting your family. Marks life closely mirrored my own,(I’m also in the flooring business 20 yrs),and as you know, so did our childhood. I admired Mark for the hard work, dedication, and loyalty that he applied to every facet of his life. He was a good son, good father and a good man. He will be missed and I’m sure that he is with the father almighty now.
