LINNABARY
Edson Burr Linnabary, 80, longtime resident of Gahanna passed away, September 5, 2013 at Kobacker House after battling cancer. Ed was born on October 6, 1932 to the late Ralph and Olive (Bennett) Linnabary. He was preceded in death by brothers Vincent, Ivan, and Ralph Linnabary, and by sisters, Ruth Hessler, and Marjorie Davis. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce (Jackson) Linnabary; his 4 “boys” and daughters-in-law, Michael and Leslie, Mitchell and Stephanie, Trace and Michelle, Bruce and Karla; 14 grandchildren; Gabriel, Sabrina Mowry, Heather, Ethan, Dustin Dellenbach, Hannah Nye, Tiffiene Dellenbach, Grace ,Evan, Sarah, Abigail, Kelly, Mikayla, and Edson. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and siblings Dr. Robert (Phoebe) Linnabary, Nelson (Yvonne) Linnabary, and Linda Turner; and many great friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to Todd Turner, a nephew and godson to Ed and Joyce for his selfless help through very difficult times. Ed was a self-employed custom home builder and an avid golfer. He was also a man of faith, being an active member of Central College Presbyterian Church. He was a rock steady example for and a leader of his family that he treasured and provided for throughout his life. He served his country overseas in the army and held strong patriotic views. Ed the man, the husband, the dad, the grandfather, and the friend will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Ed’s name to either: Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Road, Westerville, OH 43081 or Pelatonia 351 W. Nationwide Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43215. A visitation will be held at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Shrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081 from 5:00pm – 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2013. A memorial service celebrating Ed’s life will be held at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Road, Westerville, OH 43081 at 10:30 am on Monday, September 9, 2013.
