Callista Alice Blue, age 93, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Ohio passed away on Monday July 15, 2013. Born to the late Alva and Iva Freligh, Callista, a loving and beloved mother, foster mother and grandmother, was a gifted artist whose works are known from Mt. Vernon to Pine Island, Florida where she first resided with her husband Gerald in the early 1980’s before relocating in Punta Gorda in 1995. Survived by her daughters, Barbara Blue Hill of Port Charlotte, FL and Cathy E. Paad of Lake Orion, MI; grandson, John Hill and granddaughters, Susan K. Hill and Bethany Blue. In addition to her parents, Callista was preceded in death by her son, Harry A. Blue and her husband, Gerald Francis Blue. Graveside services with burial will be held at Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, OH on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11 a.m., Pastor Thomas Fowler, officiating.
