CARNEY
Robert C. “Uncle Bob” Carney, of Galena, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Born December 16th, 1937 in Erie, PA to Charles and Minerva Carney. Graduated from Mt. Vernon High School of Alexandria, VA and Pikes Peak Community College of Colorado Springs with a degree in electrical engineering. He received his masters degree in electrical engineering in Erie, PA. Worked at Digital Equipment in Colorado Springs until his retirement. Moved to Galena in 2001. Uncle Bob loved cooking, gardening, his computer, his John Deere tractors and anything electronic. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, Charles “Jack” Carney and sister-in-law, Katherine “Kay” Carney. He is survived by his niece and nephews, Pat (Richard) Norton, Mike (Nancy) Carney, Tim (Sue) Carney all of Westerville and Tom (Tina) Carney of Kaysville, Utah and many great nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or service, but friends if they wish, may contribute to the American Cancer Society in Uncle Bob’s memory. Arrangements by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville.
