Bruce W. Rupp

Bruce W. Rupp, age 74, passed away on May 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. Born on June 15, 1951, Bruce lived a life defined by humor, conversation, dedication to family, and a genuine love for people.

Bruce was the beloved husband of Peggy and a devoted father to his sons Chad, Scott, Mark, and Bryan. He was a proud grandfather to Ripley, Walker, Stella, and Connor, who brought him immense joy. Few things meant more to Bruce than spending time with his boys and his grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter and love.

A lifelong learner and proud graduate of Westerville North High School and Ohio University, Bruce carried a special pride in his time as a member of the 1970 Ohio University baseball team. Being part of a team that was later inducted into the Hall of Fame remained one of his treasured accomplishments and a source of lasting pride throughout his life.

Bruce most recently spent many years serving the students and families of Westerville as a school bus driver for Westerville City Schools. His warm personality and friendly spirit made him someone people naturally gravitated toward. He had a gift for conversation and could strike up a connection with just about anyone he met.

Outside of work and family, Bruce found joy in antiquing and collecting treasures. He loved the thrill of finding unique items and the stories attached to them. Whether talking about a favorite discovery, sharing a joke, or making others laugh with his quick wit, Bruce had a way of making people feel welcome and valued.

Bruce will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for storytelling, his kindness, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence filled rooms with warmth and laughter, and he leaves behind countless memories that will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A service will be held Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. Rev. James Meacham, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
