Julia Ann (Buck) Yorizzo passed peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on March 23, 1942, in Findlay, Ohio, where she was raised and later attended nursing school in nearby Lima.
A dedicated and compassionate nurse, Julia spent the early part of her career caring for patients at The Ohio State University Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital as a med-surg nurse. She later continued her life’s work in home care, where she served as both a nurse and a manager, bringing comfort, strength, and dignity to those she cared for. Nursing was more than a profession to Julia—it was a reflection of who she was: deeply compassionate, strong, and always putting others first.
Above all, Julia was always there for her family. She loved fully and fiercely, offering unwavering support, care, and presence to those closest to her. She shared a lifetime of love and adventure with her husband, Ray, traveling often and returning again and again to two of their favorite places—Hawaii and Italy—where they made many lasting memories together.
Julia loved deeply and made sure the people in her life knew it. She will be remembered for her warm, genuine smile—something so many have already shared meant so much to them—and for the way she made others feel cared for just by being herself. Her final words to those she loved were, “I love you too,” a reflection of the constant love she gave so freely throughout her life.
She is at peace with her Lord and reunited with her beloved husband, Ray, and other loved ones who preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Yorizzo; and her parents, Annabel and Henry Buck.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela; her son, Anthony “Tony”; her granddaughter, Melani Gardner (Cameron Nield); her great-grandson, Dawson Gardner; her brother, Jim Buck (Ann);
her sister, Mary Jane Buck; and several nieces and nephews, along with many other family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and care.
Friends may call Monday, April 6th 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 E. Schrock Rd. Westerville where a service will follow at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Cal Alexander officiating. Interment at Blendon Cemetery.

Julia was a very special friend. In fact, she and Pat were very special friends, more like sisters. The four of us enjoyed eating out together, visiting fun places and playing cards. We will miss Julia so much but have wonderful memories. Good bye dear friend. Till we meet again.
