Leonard “Len” Pavuk, age 88, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 9 th , 2026, surrounded by family.
Len was born on December 10 th , 1937, in Toledo, Ohio to the late John and Elizabeth Pavuk. In addition to his parents, Len was preceded in death by his brothers, John
Jr. and Daniel, along with his in-laws, John and Anna Ross; brothers-in-law, Richard Ross, John Ross Jr., and sister-in-law, Cindy Perkins.
Len grew up in Toledo attending Macomber Vocational Technical High. Following vocational school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army and
remained in the reserves until receiving an honorable discharge.
After his time in the Army, Len worked for Ohio Bell, starting out as a lineman and working his way into management. Len worked for Ohio Bell for his entire career, retiring in 1995 to start his new life focusing on family and leisure.
In 1958, Len married his high school sweetheart, Jeannette Ross Pavuk. Together, they built a life with deep roots in faith, family, and service. Len was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church. His commitment to God and family was of the utmost importance to him.
He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and enjoyed going to the gun range any chance that he could get. Len was passionate about growing, exhibiting, and judging roses as well as being a member of the American Rose Society and held office at both the local and district levels. Len and family spent many years vacationing at their cottage in Michigan which they built in the 1970s.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannette, and his five children Denise Mraz, Bob Pavuk, Mark (Rita) Pavuk, Tim (Monica) Pavuk, and Kris Pavuk; his grandchildren, Laura, Amy, Jonathan, Emily, Julia, Anthony, and Michaela as well as his seven great-grandchildren all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 10-10:30 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection 6300 East Dublin Granville Road, New Albany, OH 43054 where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

The Life Member Club of the Telcom Pioneers has made a donation to Pilot Dogs Inc. In Len's name. To aid the blind in their quest for mobility in our sighted world. Len will be missed by all that worked with him at Ohio Bell and Ameritech. Our prayers are with you in this time of loss.
