Carrie Cordelia McMillin, age 92, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in her hometown surrounded by love.
Born on January 5, 1933, in New Albany to Martha and Clark Ranney, Carrie was a lifelong resident who touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and contagious laugh. She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Clark Jr., Ann, Halden, Don, Bob, and Ralph, and her beloved granddaughter, Tiffany Doran.
Carrie spent many years working at Rockwell, all while raising four children — a remarkable achievement that stands as a testament to her resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to family. Along the way, she built deep, lifelong friendships that brought joy and support throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving children: Denise Doran, David (Lisa) Doran, Judy Doran (Fred Myers), Jeff (Patrice) Doran, and Mick McMillin. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Dana DeBord, Brittnee Marlow, Miranda Doran-Myers, Darcy Doran-Myers, Lynnsee Bowman, Katelynn Doran, Kai Doran, Taylor Doran, Mae Doran, Mitchell Doran, and Krista Doran. Carrie also leaves behind great-grandchildren: Reid and Lydia DeBord; Logan, Izzy, and Wesley Bowman; and Daphne, Gemma, and Kaylie Marlow — all of whom brought immense pride and joy to her life.
Carrie will be remembered for her active, fun-loving nature. Whether playing golf, working on puzzles, going for walks, playing games, or enjoying her treasured trips to South Carolina, she embraced life with energy and gratitude. Her laughter was infectious, and her spirit was a light to everyone who knew her. She was a hard worker, a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a woman of remarkable grace and strength.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM on October 24, 2025, at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Interment to be held at a later date.
Carrie’s life was a gift, and her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.

Just hearing the sad news. Our family has so many nice memories of your mom and your family going back to the mid 1960s. Carrie always seemed so happy and full of energy... right up to the last time I saw her at Kroger a few years ago.
