February 19, 1942 - August 1, 2025
David (Dave) Sadler, a lifelong resident of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and community spirit.
Born on February 19, 1942, Dave was deeply rooted in the Westerville community, where he lived his entire life and formed countless friendships. In his younger years, he developed a passion for carsa love he proudly passed down to his children. Whether racing or spending late nights in the garage with friends, Dave was happiest with a wrench in hand and engines humming around him.
He dedicated much of his career to serving the City of Westerville, where he worked diligently and retired with the respect of his colleagues. Known for his funny stories, quick wit, and willingness to help anyone in need, Dave was truly one of a kind. Friends remember him as generous, funny, and an all-around good man.
Dave cherished his family. The greatest love of his life was his wife of 55 years, Gail Sadler (Hagan), who preceded him in death. Their bond was unbreakable, and now they are reunited, along with their beloved son, David E. Sadler (Mindy Sadler).
Dave is survived by his daughters: Cindy Yost (Lester Yost), Joy Kusche (Michael Kusche), and Lora Perdue. He also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will deeply miss their "Papa Dave".
A formal funeral service will not be held. Instead, a private graveside gathering will take place for the immediate family. In honor of Dave's memory, the family encourages you to cherish time with your loved ones a reflection of what he held most dear.
