Lillian Doris Sears, age 95, of Westerville, OH. Born August 11,1928 to parents Helen and Alton Torrence of Belle Center, Ohio. Preceded in death by husband, John. 1945 graduate of North High School. Forner secretary of Sears Heating and Cooling Co. for 45 years. Member of Central College Presbyterian Church. Faithful member of the Wednesday morning Bible Study class. Recipient of the Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership award, the Presbyterian Women Scioto Valley Woman of Faith award, and the Church Women United Mustard Seed Award. Stephen Minister and former leader of the Ruth Circle. Faithful volunteer in many areas and member of the Presbyterian Womens Board. 70 year member of Beacon Chapter #593, Order of the Eastern Star, member of the North High School Womens Alumnae Association, and Clintonville Womens Club, Inc.

Lillian baked many cherry pies for luncheons at her church and for her family. Purple was her favorite color and she wore it often. She loved a beautiful sky and sunset. She was an avid water skier, and also loved ballroom dancing. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, wearing green faithfully every St. Patricks Day. John and Lillian spent many happy weekends at their log cabin home in the Hocking Hills that John built by hand. They also loved to travel far and away with their good friends.

Survived by son, Craig (Margie) Sears, daughter, Diane Ragsdale, grandchildren, Matthew (Abby) Ragsdale, Adrienne (Shaun) Rienhold and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation hours will be 10-11am, May 29, in the sanctuary at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081, followed by the funeral service beginning at 11am. Rev. David Redding officiating. Internment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central College Presbyterian Church or Clintonville Womans Club, Inc, 3951 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214.

So sorry for your loss. Remember her coming t to Rose-Louise . She was a very caring person . Remember visiting her and John down in the hills a long time ago.

Lillian was beautiful inside and out. She was kind, sweet, funny and an absolute gift to all who knew her. Lillian will be deeply missed. And she LOOOVED her family !
