Theresa A. Schmoeger, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went to be with our Lord on November 19th, 2023. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Russ) Falcone, Steve (Ann) Schmoeger, Sherri (Matt) Cudnik; her sister, Mary Cervelli, her niece Sandra (Jim) Tupper, and her grandchildren, Justine, Ashley, Chris, Stuart, Jacob, Natalie, and Sarah.
She was born to Paul and Bertha Ventura on April 12, 1940. She graduated from St. John the Baptist High School in Syracuse, NY. Following high school, she attended a secretarial school. She worked for several doctors and dentists over the years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years and cherished all the many friends she made in New York and Ohio.
Theresa married Donald R. Schmoeger in 1963. After getting married she moved to Japan to live on the Airforce base for 2 years and her first child, Debbie was born. Together they had three beautiful children: Debbie, Steve, and Sherri. Theresa worked for the Nationwide Insurance Company for 17 years. She won many service awards throughout her career.
Theresa was an avid painter and artist. She loved cake decorating, baking and cooking her many Italian family recipes. Her time was often spent surrounded by family doing various activities like traveling to New York for the summer to visit her parents. She cherished her recent visits with her wonderful sister, Mary Cervelli. Theresa, Mary, and cousin Lucia Beltrani called themselves the three musketeers. Her love of art was inspired by her cousin's wife, Anne Uva. She was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church since 1979.
Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 5-7 p.m. and Monday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. Daniel Olvera, celebrant. Entombment at Resurection Cemetery.
