Anne Valvano, 92, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2023, the date of her 69th wedding anniversary with her loving husband, Salvatore Valvano. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents, Joseph and Nellie LaVista and sisters, Rose LaVista and Phyllis Yannuzzi. She is survived by daughters, Andrea (Tim) Barton and Joanne (Matt) Weekley; grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Lofy, Brittanee (Brian) Anania, Mark (fiancée Megan Warnecke) Weekley and Tanner Barton and great grandchild, Tuckerman Lofy. Also survived by sister, Yola (Tommy) Alverso; brothers, Michael LaVista and Joseph LaVista; sister-in-law, Lucy Lippolis and several nieces and nephews.
Anne was born on July 29, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey. She spent her entire life loving Sal, as they met and began dating at just 14 years old. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and her love and kindness will be missed. Her family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at The Grand in Dublin and OhioHealth Hospice, who provided compassionate care. May Anne rest in peace with the Lord and be comforted by His presence.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 6th from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, OH 43081. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brigid of Kildare 7179 Avery Road Dublin, OH 43017.
