Barry Lynn Kitson passed away on Wednesday November 30, 2022, after a four year long battle with Leukemia. He was 73 years old. Barry was born on May 10, 1949 in Richmond, IN. He was the only son of Ruby and Charles Kitson. Barry grew up in Eaton, OH and upon graduation attended the Ohio State University. While in school he was drafted into the United State Army where he proudly served his country as a drill sergeant. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Columbus where he received his Associates Degree in computer programming from Columbus Technical Institute.

While at Ohio State, Barry met the love of his life Cheryl Calvelage. They married in 1970 and moved to Ft. Benning, GA, and their amazing adventure began. In 1972, they welcomed their first daughter Heather. The family continued to grow with the births of their daughters, Erinn and Shannon. With the family complete, Barrys life became focused on his family and work. He rarely missed his kids events and will always be remembered for his enthusiasm and constant support. Years later, he became a grandpa, welcoming 6 grandchildren into the family.

Barry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl; their three daughters, Heather Roy, Erinn Kallay (Chris), Shannon Eblin (Andrew) and six grandchildren, (Chance and Connor Roy, Liam and Quinn Kallay and Alexis Kitson-Schatz and Ava Eblin). Barry precedes in death his two sisters, Kay Carey and Carol and Bernie Bondanza; his brother and sister in laws: Dale and Marilyn Calvelage, Denny and Karen Calvelage, Nancy Calvelage, Alan and Denise Calvelage and Theresa and Terry Van Grootheist and numerous nieces and nephews.

To celebrate Barry's amazing life please join his family at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 313 N State St, Westerville, OH on Friday, December 9th. The viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30am, followed immediately with the service. All are invited to a light lunch following the funeral service.
