Larry Craig Foust, age 64, died peacefully at home February 18, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Westerville High School class of 1974, he played the tuba in the marching band. Growing up, Larry was active in his church youth group as well as Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He spoke often of his trip to Philmont Scout Ranch. He embraced the qualities of a good scout, including honesty, loyalty and integrity. After graduating from The Ohio State University, Larry enjoyed a 39 year career at Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric and American Electric Power. He was most proud of his two sons, Gary and David, and enjoyed watching their activities when they were young, golfing and sharing sporting events with them as adults. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf, tackling home improvement projects and all sports, especially the OSU Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets and Columbus Crew. He especially loved spending time with family, playing and reading to his grandsons. Larry will be deeply missed by his best friend and loving wife of 40 years, Regina; sons, Gary (Carissa) and David (Kelly); grandsons, James, Justin and Cedric. He is also survived by his father, Robert; brother, Bob (Geri); sister, Cindy (Dana) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Foust. The family is extremely grateful for the expert care of Dr. Paul Monk and his staff at OSU Wexner Medical Center- The James and all of the caring staff at Heartland Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends Friday, February 26th from 10 am to 12 pm at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. All attending are asked to wear face masks. Although I have not seen or communicated with Lew as he was known to the Rofini's pizza crew I remember Lew as a patient and soft spoken leader to all of us younger employees at the pizza parlor. Please accept my condolences. He was too young to be taken by cancer which is such an insidious disease. Sincerely, David Anderson WSHS Class of 1978

Regina and family, my heart is broken to hear of Larry's passing. His struggle is over and peace has come to him--I hope this brings some comfort to you. Larry and I go back a long way to AEP and the Borden Building. One of many fond memories is when we learned to play Cricket while working with the team from London. They provided me with a white polyester jacket with the pockets full of stones to keep score. Larry was one of the most genuine, kindest, sincere friends I've ever had and I will miss him. Take care of yourself, Regina, and your wonderful family. Linda

Though time and miles may have separated us I am forever grateful for the support Larry provided as his sons played golf during the time I coached at St Charles. Regina and boys you are in my thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately the miles prevent me from being with you at this time. I would appreciate you sending me a memory card if available. This small request helps with closure and serves as a reminder to keep Larry and the Foust family in my prayers Bart Mahoney 5101 Weatherwood Dr N Myrtle Beach, SC 29582

Even though we knew this time would come, it's still difficult to comprehend. We're grateful for the memories of the good times on your visits to Colorado. Larry was amazing. Even though he was suffering, we never heard him complain even once. He was still easy going, up for anything and smiling as always. Love You

I worked for Larry for about a year during our careers at AEP and he was one of the best bosses I had. He was always a very kind, caring, quiet, knowledgeable gentleman. When he talked of his family, you could see the love he had for each of you. He was truly a good man and will be missed. Regina, I will keep you and the whole family in my prayers in hopes that God will ease the pain of your loss.

Regina/Gary/David : Leslie and I send our sympathies for Larry's passing - he was such a thoughtful and kind person. I can still hear his unique laugh as I think about some of our fun times we had together. The "cancelled cruise" from Hurricane Andrew will always be a fun lasting memory of how sometimes things just work out if you let them. Brian commented that growing up in Little Turtle as neighbors, it was hard not to be a Creedence Clearwater Revival fan when he was at your house - Larry would put it on the "record player". Whenever he hears their songs, it reminds him of you and Larry. We were fortunate enough to know Larry and he will always live in our memories of these moments.

Regina, Gary, Carissa, David, Kelly, James, Justin and Cedric, We are so saddened by the passing of Larry. We know what a special husband, father and grandfather he was to you, because we witnessed his love over the years too. Whether it was going to our kids soccer games, hanging out and playing cards or getting silly at Jimmy Buffet concerts, Larry was there with a strong and loving presence. May our memories live on in our hearts and May you find peace in them.
