MORAN


Kyle Leroy Moran, age 90, of Westerville, OH. Born February18, 1923 in Dover, Kansas. After a long and fruitful journey, Kyle left this life peacefully, and entered into the presence of his Lord early Sunday morning, May 19, 2013 after a period of declining health. He was, and his memory will be an example of manly Christian character to all that had the privilege to know him. Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed. He graduated from Kansas State University class of 1951 with a degree in Agricultural Engineering and was a member of Acacia Fraternity. Kyle worked fo the United States Deparment of Agriculture, Soil and Water Conservation in Kansas and Ohio for 25 years and then 10 years with the Ohio Deparment of Natural Resources. Veteran of World War II, Army Air Corps, and then a member of Kansas National Guard finishing his service with the rank of Warrant Officer. He was a founding member of Westerville Bible Church and a guiding force and tireless worker at Peniel Bible Camp. Member of Delaware American Legion Post and a life time member of the Masonic Order. He served as a Boy Scout Scoutmaster for Troops 117 in Kansas and 502 in Ohio for 15 years. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jane (Beaver); children, Nick (Wanda) of Cincinnati, OH, Ellen Moran (Tom) Clark of Greenville, SC, Gretchen Moran (Steve) Barnes of Westerville, OH, Mike (Pam) Moran of Galena, OH and Tim Moran of Stanfield, NC; 12 grandchilden and 9 great-grandchildren.Friends may call at the Westerville Bible Church, 2665 W. Schrock Road, Westerville, Wednesday 9-10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Paul Hamilton, officiating. Interment Northlawn Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers, Kyle would appreciate donations to Peniel Bible Camp, 3260 Ohio Route 314, Fredericktown, OH 43019. Arrangements by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, OH.
