James C. Porter of Westerville, OH, has gone to a better place, June 13, 2015 at the age of 77. He was born in North Wilkesboro, NC to Harless & Dessie (Johnson) Porter. Member of Maize Road Baptist Church. Married to devoted loving wife Frances of 57 years who survives with daughter Vickie (Paul) Combs; grandchildren; James K. & Kandis Porter, Nathan (Emily) Combs, Clarissa (Ryan) Means and Josiah Combs. great grandchildren;Dominic & Elijah Porter, Connor & Cooper Combs and Ryder Means. brothers-in-law; Gerald Tackett and Lester Shumate. sisters-in-law; Eula Mae Porter, Lucille Porter and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by parents, son, James K. Porter, sister; Nomie, Argil, Virgie, Mae and Carolyn; brothers; Wilmer, Gilmer, Elmer, Everett and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Family will receive family and friends Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, where service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday June 17, 2015. Pastor Brett Castle officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
