Helen Marie Bigus (nee Marra), born 7-29-1924 in Cleveland, Ohio, died peacefully 8-4-2013, residing in Westerville, OH. Beloved wife of the late Frederick G. Bigus; loving mother of Gregory (Carmen), Carol, Cathy (Allan) Mojzisik, Frederick (Susan), dearest grandmother of Lisa (Bryan) Edwards, Darin and Anthony Bigus, and Katie Mojzisik, dearly loved sister of the late Rose (Edgar) Mastrey, Anthony (Peggy) Marra, Raymond (Loretta) Marra, Jay (Tony) Gioitta, Gloria (Steve) Volpe, Ronald (Adair) Marra, cherished aunt and great aunt of many nephews and nieces. Helen was an administrative assistant to the superintendent of Richmond Heights School and served on the Cuyahoga County Board of Education and Richmond Heights Recreation Board. Helen was a member of the South Euclid Women’s Club and Westerville Senior Center and life-time member of the Richmond Heights Garden Club. She was as beautiful and kind at the time of her death as she was during her life. Arrangements by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkside Village, 730 North Spring Road, Westerville, OH 43082. Family graveside service at Knollwood Cemetery, 1678 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Heights, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

I am very sorry to hear of Mrs. Bigus’ passing.
I remember yher as always cheerful and smiling in the lunch area/cafeteria. I can see her in the yearbook photos as a bus driver, lunch lady and in her assitant position in the office. I will always remember her and Mrs. Owen for their cheerfullness. (My wife and I are both grads from RHHS, ’71 Nancy Brine and I-’72; we live in Worthington.)

I am very sad to know of my Confirmation Godmother Helen’s death. I made my Confirmation when I was in fourth grade, she so very kind to me. Helen and my Mother Rose Pasquale (dec.09-2005) were good friends. Your Mother even gave me a bridal shower when I was married in 1981. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sad to know about my Godmother Helen’s death. She was my Conformation Godmother when I was in fourth grade. My Mother Rose Pasquale(dec. 09-2005) and Helen were very good friends. I have fond memories of her, she even gave me a wedding shower when I was married in 1981. I am so sorry I will always remember her and all her kindness and concern.
