JACKSON

Grayling Edward Jackson, born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio June 24, 1954 to Pinkie L. (Jackson) Deskins and the late C. E. Jackson, went to be with the Lord, August 25, 2015 in Akron,Ohio with his mother by his side. 1972 graduate of Centerburg High School and entered the Marine Corps the same day he graduated. 1978 graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Engineering. He worked construction, carpenter labor in later years and worked in the United States and other countries. He was a gourmet cook, dedicated to NASCAR racing and enjoyed all sports. He enjoyed his flower garden and loved his mother’s homemade fudge. Preceded in death by father C.E. Jackson, brothers Wayne E. Jackson and Victor Van Deskins; grandparents Marshall & Maggie Jackson, aunt Patsy Beal, uncle Eugene Jackson and step-father Mackey C. Deskins. Survived by mother, PinkieL. Deskins, sister Regina M. Deskins, niece Victoria Edman, nephew Parry Raymond Edman and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. special friends, Linda Hingler, Aubry Jacobs, Kelsey and Hannah Doane. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 5, 2015 at Centerburg Free Will Baptist Church, 377 North Clayton Street Centerburg, Ohio. Pastor Mark Tuggle officiating along with Rolland Edwards and Harry Miller.
