Fred Matney

MATNEY

Fred H. Matney, age 76, of Centerburg, passed away April 8, 2017. Former owner of Matney Insulation Co. Member of Mt. Vernon Masonic Lodge, Kamran Grotto and the American Legion in Riverview, Florida. U. S. Army Airborne veteran. Fred enjoyed his daily bicycle rides and will be missed by many on the bike paths. Survived by his children, Sheila (Scott) Gischel, Debie Spain (Aaron Dixon) and Justin Moreland (Marla Perry); grandchildren, Tyler and Matthew Gischel, Faith Bowers, Austin and Anthony Moreland; brothers, Jim, Dan (Kay) and Larry (Pam) Matney; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Gypsy, parents, McKinley and Lydia Matney, 1 brother and 5 sisters. He will be missed by his many friends and he never met a stranger. Friends may call at the JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERL HOME, 49 W. Church Street, Centerburg, Thursday 4-7 p.m. followed by a service at 7 p.m.. Private interment, Eastview Cemetery.
