Dear Bob, Bobby, John, Shawn,Cathy and the rest of the RM Phelps family,
We have fond memories of family times together alternating Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners -birthdays too. Bob and Art’s birthdays were just a few days apart in July and we always enjoying the “three hole cake”! With Bob and Art both being in the dental profession; remember those Delt dinner dances? Not so long ago we were together in Wales for the Musical Eisteddfod and later in Ireland for your granddaughter’s wedding! Ellie was always so proud of her Welch heritage and she infected us with her enthusiasm. During the last 22 years of Ellie’s life there have been struggles, and good times too. She never complained about what life had dealt her and always responded “fine” when asked how she was. Bob, you were such a good help and always took good care of her. Jesus says in Matt. 19:6 :”What God has joined together, let no man separate”. So He chose to do the parting himself on the very day, 60 years later. Only He could accomplish that!
Loving you all,
Art and Marion.

As “Aunt Ellie” was my only Aunt, she held a singular place in my life. That place won’t be be empty. It will always hold the memory of a kind and humble woman who loved her husband and sons, was loyal to her extended family, demonstrated the pleasures of growing things, and was proud of her Johnny Appleseed ancestry. Now she can be at peace with her parents and siblings for eternity with our Lord, Jesus Christ, as He has promised.

Bob and family,
We are so sad to hear of Ellie’s death. Our hearts are heavy but hope you know how much you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Lillian, William, Leonard and I have wonderful memories of our times with Ellie as a friend, a mother, and a grandmother. You have been so kind to everyone,Bob,and I hope that you will reach out to those who love you to help you through this difficult time. In case you didn’t know, that includes us. To Bob and John and families, you had a great grandmother and wonderful mother…I always loved her quiet, gentle way and her cute wit. We shared being one of six children, both growing up on a farm, our love of gardening, and being proud of our welsh heritage. So sorry and so sad. We will be 9 hours away in eastern pennsylvania so regret we cannot make Tuesday’s service. Please let Bob know we will be down to see him in the next week or two. If you should need anything, don’t hesitate to call. Love to you all, Jeanette
