Paul H. Nowell (86) of Westerville OH, passed away peacefully at Danbury Parkside of Westerville on Saturday, January 1, 2022 from Dementia/Alzheimers. Paul was born in Woodsfield OH on July 14,1935 to the late Robert Nowell and Freida Nowell (Frank) Kaiser. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Joan Greer (Ruhl) Nowell; daughter Krista (Matt) Beran of Virginia; step-daughters Tammy (Ken) Kahn of Colorado; and Mae (Frank) Myers of Westerville; grandchildren Tyler (Emily) Kahn and Tony Kahn of Colorado; Megan (Blake) Mitchell, Frankie (Jayne) Myers, Sarah (Jeremiah) Lozier and Danny Myers of Ohio; Christopher Beran of Virginia; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary Nowell; nephew Roger (Linda) Nowell; sister-in-law Lucy Putsock, brother-in-law Paul (Paula) Greer; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceded in death by first wife Peggy (Little) Nowell; brothers Richard and Robert Nowell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kay and Jerry Gaus. Paul graduated from Linden-McKinley High School in 1953 and joined the army. He served in Kassel, Germany from 1955-57 in the 709th Military Police Battalion. Paul worked as a private investigator for Pinkertons for a short time, and then had a long career at Beneficial Financial Services, where he retired as Human Resource Director after 32 years. Paul and Joan loved spending their winters in Fort Myers FL for over 20 years, making many friends along the way. Paul had a deep faith and loved the Lord, who guided his life and convictions. He was actively involved in the Church of the Cross in Fort Myers FL, and Dwell Community Church in Columbus for many years. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 pm at Dwell Community Church, 1390 Community Park Drive, Columbus, OH, on Saturday, March 5, 2022. A celebration of Life will follow at 4 pm, officiated by Randy Jones and Jeff Moran. Internment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
