In Memory of
Carmen J. Rodriguez
July 8, 1938 - March 17, 2021

With profound sadness Carmen J. Rodriguez passed on March 17th, 2021. She was born July 8, 1938 in Ponce Puerto Rico; daughter of Manuel and Maximina Rodriguez. She married Felix V. Gonzlez and had 5 wonderful children. Her husband Predeceased her at the age of 54. She was one of 8 children: Predeceasing her of her siblings are: Carmelo Rodriguez aka Tio Pachin (wife Linda), Maria Rodriguez (deceased husband Andres Velez), Edith Rodriguez (living husband Ismael Perez), Felix Rodriguez (deceased wife Sara; surviving wife Lydia). Her living siblings are Jose, Luis and Hector Rodriguez. She had several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews that she had not seen or met in decades. Her children are: Milagros Gonzalez; Gabrielo Gomez; Jose Gonzalez, Noemi Gonzalez Kruse (husband Kevin Kruse); Ruth Gonzalez Morris (husband Phillip Morris) and several grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, however the career she most enjoyed is when she volunteered her time as one of Jehovahs Witnesses to go house to house/door to door sharing the good news that Jesus taught his followers to spread found at Matthew 24:14. Nothing gave her greater joy than to offer everyone she came across an opportunity to examine what the Bible really teaches and she was happy whether they accepted or not because she knew that Jehovah and Jesus were watching her carry out the commission given her. She especially wanted to take this good news to her family and though some had their own beliefs she loved them dearly and had hoped she had shown them by example how much the truth about Jehovah meant to her. Though she was a victim of COVID-19 she was a very strong and determined person who relied on Jehovah for endurance. She was able to overcome COVID but not the after effects which took a toll on her 82 year old body. Each day was a struggle to stand, breathe, walk. While it was believed that the Nursing Home had the ability and the knowledge to give her the care she needed, they sent her to the emergency room where she almost died. We had hoped the hospital would be much better but unfortunately not. Thankfully, Jehovah opened the way to bring mom to the Morris family home where Noemi and Ruth were able to take care of mom. Mom was thrilled to be home away from strangers and we nursed her back to as healthy as we could get her. Over all, mom lasted from COVID to present approximately one year. While shell be greatly missed we know well see her soon again!!! Funeral Services will be held via zoom by family on April 3, 2021 1:30 pm English and 3:30 pm Spanish. For details please contact Ruth Morris ( or Noemi Kruse (614) 349-5620

To Kevin/Noemi Kruse & family: So sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, Carmen. I will never forget her beautiful smile and the glow she had when commenting at our zoom meetings. To watch the support and nurturing you and your family members lovingly provided your mom was so touching. Because of the resurrection hope mentioned in the Bible at Acts 24:15, I eagerly look forward to seeing my husband, Cecil, as well as getting to know your mom, one day. With heartfelt sincerity, Carolyn Washington
