Franklin Damron

Franklin Damron, 84, of Pataskala, passed away on January 13 , 2021 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 8, 1936 in Dunlow, WV to Lafayette and Amanda Damron. Frank served his country in the Army division and later retired after 30 years at Lucent Technologies. Frank was passionate about his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Ann Kirk, whom he met at a Halloween party in 1961. He is also survived by his three children: Glenn (Barb) Damron, Philip (Bev) Damron, Carla (James) Johnson all of Pataskala. Along with his five grandchildren: Sara (Brendan) Brown, Chelsea (Tony) Neel, Felicia (John) Compton, Zach (Kerry) Damron, and Emma Johnson. Eight great grandchildren: Brinley and Paisley Neel, Samantha, Donald, Daniel, Sidney and Westen Compton, and Rayden Damron. As well as several grand-dogs that held a special place in his heart. In addition, hes survived by his sister Ethel Berry of West Virginia. Frank served as a Deacon at the Columbus United Baptist Church in Gahanna, OH for sixteen years and was very active in his church community and his fellow parishioners were like family. You may pay your respects on Tuesday, January 19 th beginning at 11am with a service starting at 12pm at Columbus United Baptist Church 6046 Taylor Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. The service will be conducted by Pastor Joe Sparks. Due to current health and safety guidelines limited guests will be permitted. We ask that services only be attended by family and close friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local hospice.

so sorry you know how much I loved my uncle Frank he was one in a million! He carried me on his back all over the mountain and we have shared many lovely experiences I will forever miss him my love to the family I will be in touch with you all in a few days love to all
