Hazel L.Wagner Birkhimer, age 93, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away Thursday September 13, 2018 at the home. Daughter of E M and Dora Parks Wagner. Born January 22, 1925 in Burlington Twp, Licking County, OH. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles C. Birkhimer, brothers, Robert, George and James, sisters, Erma, Martha, Catherine and Jeannette. Survived by daughter, Dora M. (David) Birkhimer Nelson of Elizabethton, TN; cousins, nieces and nephews. Retired from Ohio Department of Transportation; worked as secretary and legal secretary for over 25 years. Milling Machine Operator for Goodyear Aircraft during WW II. 1942 Graduate of Homer High School, 1946 Graduate of Buckeye Business College (Secretarial Science). Member of Karl Road Baptist Church, Past President of Linden Heights Chautauqua Club, Deputy Grand Matron 17th District of Ohio Order of Eastern Star 1994, 70-year Member of Linden Heights Chapter Order of Eastern Star (now Triangle Chapter), Past Matron of Linden Heights Chapter Order of Eastern Star (now Triangle Chapter), Past Royal Matron of Pallas Court Order of Amaranth (now Columbus Court). Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 2-5 p.m. followed by a service at 5 p.m., Lynda Chambers, officiating. Friends, if they wish, may donate to the charity of their choice in her memory. Burial will be at Kingwood Memorial Park, Monday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m..
