Richard C. Logsdon Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully at home Thursday August 30, 2018. He was retired from Ohio Bell. United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Member Church of The Messiah United Methodist, the Telecom Pioneers, Gahanna Shrine Club, Senior Shrine Club, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Blendon Lodge 339 F and AM and American Legion Post 217, Sidney, Ohio. Preceded in death by wife, Carole J., son, Mark T., and grandson, Brian A.. Survived by partner, Norma; sons, Richard Jr. (Pandora) of Middletown, Ohio., Scott (Lynn) Palmer, of MA, Christopher (Debra) of Mt. Gilliad, Oh., Bruce (Lauri) of Key West, Fl.; daughters, Tamara of Dublin, OH, Terri (Russ) Baker of Sidney, OH, Traci (Todd) Kreider of Hamilton, Ga.; daighter-in-law, Christine, of Reynoldsburg, OH, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call Tuesday September 4th from 4-6 p.m. at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME,55 East Schrock Road, Westerville where funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m., Chaplain Paul Collins, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pilot Dogs c/o Telephone Pioneers of America, 111 N. 4th Street, Columbus, OH 43215 or Honor Flight Columbus, P.O. Box 12036, Columbus, OH 43212. Masonic service Tuesday at 6 p.m..

I remember Dick from Ohio Bell. Also, The Pioneers. Dick was generous. Especially generous with his time. In 2017, Dick was very instrumental in The Pioneers making the scholarship donation to Pilot Dogs. Sorry to hear Dick is no longer with us.

So sorry to hear of Dicks passing also knew him thought the telephone company,worked with Carol, downtown in the 111 building . You could always see Dick at the Pioneers luncheon each month. He will be missed, by his family,friends,and the telephone pioneers, and all who knew him. Condolence to the family, Dawna Kelly

The service and sacrifice of Richard C. Logsdon, Sr. will never be forgotten. Richard flew on his Honor Flight September 19, 2015, and will forever be a part of our memories and history. On behalf of Honor Flight Columbus, please accept our most sincere condolences.
