Carolyn Francis Bickford Bellanca, daughter of Dr. Arthur Alton Bickford and Margaret Elaine Nash Bickford, was born March 18, 1961 in Burlington, Vermont. After attending various elementary schools in Indiana, Ohio, and New York, she lived out her secondary years in Davis, California, a student at Davis Senior High School. The summer after her graduation she traveled to Berne, Switzerland as an AFS(American Field Service) Exchange Student. While attending University of Missouri, Carolyn spent her junior year of college abroad in Nuremberg, Germany, a program afforded to her through the University of Kansas. She was the first business student in the program. Other countries she visited throughout her life were Russia, Czechoslovakia, England, France, Austria, East Germany, Canada, and recently Ireland. She graduated from University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Carolyn worked for a number of companies including the Army & Air Force Exchange Service(AAFES), and CNA Surety. While at CNA, she acquired her Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding(AFSB) designation. Along the way she obtained a Realtors license and started a property rental company. She finished her work life as a modification team member at Walmart.

Carolyn married Michael Francis Bellanca on March 19, 1994. They had two children, Matthew Bickford Bellanca, and Daniel Francis Bellanca. Matthew and her daughter-in-law, Betsy Elick, gave her two grandchildren, Isabella Louise Bellanca and Jameson Lowell Bellanca. In addition to her parents, husband and descendants, Carolyn is survived by her sister Patricia Abele and her partner Shaun Whitaker, niece Alexandra Elizabeth Abele, sister Andrea Dothage and her husband Keith Dothage, niece Kathryn Elaine Dothage; in-laws, Frank and Marna (Dockum) Bellanca, Jeff and Terri (Bellanca) Blakeman.

Among Carolyns early interests were singing and dancing in show choir, ice skating, color guard and art. She was very creative and endeavored into projects from cross stich to knitting and crocheting. Later in life she could be found wine tasting, putting together puzzles or playing Bunko. Carolyn ushered musicals, plays and concerts for
the local arts organization CAPA, and she had a book published, Favorite Quotes and Sayings. Words of Inspiration and Encouragement. From: Forwarded E-mails. Carolyn was an active member and registrar with the Daughters of the American Revolution(DAR). She was very proud of the organization and what it stands for.

Two services will be held to celebrate Carolyns life and accomplishments, and her passing to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends may call Friday September 7, 2018 at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 E. Schrock Rd. from 5-7 p.m. followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Mike Szlapak officiating. A second service will be Sunday September 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., Pastor John Moriarty, officiating, followed by food and refreshments until 5:00 p.m. at American Legion Young-Budd Post 171 393 East College Avenue, Westerville, Ohio 43081
