Marie Sheehan age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 7th 2018. Marie was born March 30, 1924 in Canton, Ohio to Paul E. and Nellie (Nixdorf) Wines. She graduated from Lehman High School and was employed by the Berger Division of the Capitol Republic Steel Corporation. She married her high school sweetheart, Sergeant Major Donald W. Sheehan, January 12, 1944. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her husbands 28-year military career took the family throughout Texas, Hawaii, and Ohio. She was a longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio and a member of Saint Elizabeth Catholic Parish. Most recently, she resided at Brookdale Chestnut Hill Senior Living. She loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, her dogs, and entertaining guests. All the way up until the end, she would always ask about others and want to know how they were doing. Selfless She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-grandson Zachary Cochenour, nephew, Patrick Wines, and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Wines. Survived by brother Ernest Wines; 4 children, Robert (Julie) Sheehan, Nancy (Everett) Cochenour, James (Cheryl) Sheehan, and Connie (Brian) McGuire; 11 grandchildren, Kitti (Steve) Blevins, John Carson, Erin (Joao) Magalhaes, Eric (Christina) Sheehan, Ben Wright, Chris (Kim) Cochenour, Jennifer (Tom) Beck, Gregory Sheehan, Ashley (Nathan) Hood, Sebastian Fastrich, Morgan Allen; 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday from 10 a.m.-12 noon followed by a memorial prayer service at 12 noon, Rev. Fr. Charles Cotton, presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
