She was a member of Olentangy Seniors and Top of the Hill. She was an avid quilt maker and loved to sew. She authored a book about her hometown of Gallipolis, Ohio, and even had a few of her poems published. She was active in her community and worked to save historic buildings. Clara loved life. She was a firecrackervibrant, courageous, and determined, with an irrepressible spirit. She left a mark on every heart she touched.
