Geraldine Joann Taylor, age 84, of Westerville, after a far to long battle with dementia, known as Jeri to all - embarked for her final destination during her sleep on June 6th 2018 where she will be reunited with her youngest child Scott. Bon Voyage Jeri, you will be deeply missed. Jeri was born on April 14, 1934 in Chicago Il, to Angeline "Angie" Lazuka Johnson and Jacob Hoffman. She was married for 24 years and is survived by sons, Michael (Diana) and David (Jill); daughter-in-law, Bobbi; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Heather Hickman (Jeremy), Rory (Nicole), Chris, Kyle and Victoria; four great-grandchildren, Gunner, Van, Isaac and Juliette. Preceded in death by son, Scott. Jeri had many careers, homemaker/mother, bookkeeper, nurse, and jeweler, but her love of people and entertaining was best displayed when she owned and ran Club 51 tavern/restaurant on Buckeye Lake in the 1980s. If hospitality was her gift travel was her passion and she traveled far and wide (most of the USA including Hawaii, much of Europe, the Middle East, Brazil, and Costa Rica). In lieu of flowers Jeri wished donations to be made to Central Ohio Youth for Christ, 5000 Arlington Centre Blvd., Box 9B, Columbus, OH 43220. Friends may call at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m., her son, Chaplain Mike Taylor, officiating. Followed by a graveside service at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in Newark Ohio.
