Hollis (Holly) H. Sheahan, 88, died surrounded by family on April 19, 2018, in New Albany, Ohio. The daughter of a grain broker at the Chicago Board of Trade and a homemaker, Holly was born in Evanston, Illinois and raised in Park Ridge and Arlington Heights. She graduated from Marywood High School and received a B.A. from Barat
College of the Sacred Heart. Hollys first job was at a bank in Chicago. Later, she was a bookkeeper in a family business in Princeton, New Jersey. But her family and many friends were the focus of her life -- in the Chicago area; in Princeton; in San Angelo, Texas; and, finally, in New Albany, Ohio. An active Catholic, Holly enjoyed the Newman Center at the Ohio State University. She also loved everything Irish.Holly was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen; her brothers William and J. Bartlett; and a daughter, Jennifer. She is survived by three other daughters: Sarah, Helen, and Amy; by a son, William; and by nine grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Otterbein Homes (New Albany), Charitable Gift Planning, 580 N. State Route 741, Lebanon, OH 45036; or the St. Thomas More Newman Center, 64 W. Lane Ave., Columbus OH 43201. On Saturday May 12, at the Newman Center, Visitation at 10 a.m. will be followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m..
