Jonesy (Michael K. Jones) born October 15, 1957, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Jean Newell and his birth mother, Ruth Jones, and his sister, Heleana Murray and his aunts, Jo Greenwood and Janet Lee, and his uncles, Donald, Jackie and Tommy Lee. He is survived by his sister, Francene (John) Harris and his brothers, Clinton (Kelly) Newell and Ben (Susan) Weber and his brother in-law and best friend, John Murray, his uncles, Jerry (Betty) Greenwood, Clinton Lee, Leo (Trudy) Lee and Aunts Mary Lou (Wayne) Warf and Thelma Lee, and Christine (Bill) weber along with many cousins, Jennifer, Misty and Michelle, and John and nieces and nephews. Marissa, Kyle, William and Michaella and many close friends, including, Noah, Sam, johnny and Brenda and his three cats, Baily, Chance and Bosley. Jonesy loved life. He was always happy and kind. He loved his family and spending days with his cats. He was a big Ohio State Fan and never missed a game. He loved meeting new people, and it could be said, he never met a stranger. To display Jonesy's warm hearted and loving nature, his gift of eyesight was donated to another, so that they may see the wonders of the world; a loved one's smile, a beautiful flower, or just a morning sunrise. We will miss your laughter and smile. We will always love you. Friends may call at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday 5-7 p.m. followed by a service at 7 p.m., Rev. Mike Brown, officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local humane society in Jonesy's name.

Sorry for your loss. I wish we had more time to get to know Jonesy better. I know that Ellen and Jonesy share a love for animals and she was really impressed by him and admired how he adopted those cats!
