Howard Richard Bailey, age 92, of Westerville, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Counrty View of Sunbury. Retired from Roush Hardware. Army veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mabel (Smith) Bailey, sisters, Virginia Kirk and Fern Rugg, brothers, George, Charles, Vern and Donald. Survived by daughter, Janet (Gene) Hunter of Westerville; son, Wayne (Dixie Lee) Bailey of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Kimberly (Josh) Shoemaker of St. Paris, OH, Adam Hunter of Johnson City, NY, Tyler (Abbey) Bailey of Tucson, AZ, Lance (Yessenia) Bailey of Ewa Beach, HI and Tanner Bailey of Manhattan, KS; great-grandchildren, Elianah Hunter, Isabelle and Laney Shoemaker, Mason Bailey, Braxton and Brighton Bailey; sister, Nelda Green; brothers, Clark, Harold and Harry (Junior); many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday from 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Pastor William Montgomery, officiating. Interment Pioneer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Ohio Alzheimers Association. The family would like to thank the staff of Parkside Village Senior Living, Country View of Sunbury, Vitas Hospice and Bella Care Hospice for their kind and loving care.
